“How strange: to land in the second part of your life, without even having lived its first.” – Trivarna Hariharan Life is weird. Everything is so weird all the time. I think about how weird my life is every time my dad helps me in and out of my wheelchair at the doctor’s office, and…

“I’m in pain because the day is ending and I am somehow never healing.” – Anne Sexton My entire experience of life has been altered in the most twisted way by being ill. It’s compressing and suffocating and painful. People will be ruthless with you – with your body, with your health, with their words.…

“I was supposed to be having the time of my life.” – Sylvia Plath I turn 25 tomorrow. It’s a milestone birthday of sorts, I guess. A quarter of a century. Something I would have considered monumental and exciting – a call for celebration. But instead of it being a joyful, celebratory day, it now…

  1. Prisoners in for life often say the one thing that can’t be taken away is your attitude to the situation. You own that. You will still grow and have friends.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words and support. 💜 And I am so sorry to hear that your daughter has been suffering for so long with LC at such a young age. 😞 It’s a nightmare no one should ever have to endure. My heart goes out to you and your daughter and I hope she has better days ahead. Solidarity to you and your daughter 🫂

  4. Happy Birthday DayDreamer23. I’m so sad for you that you are not able to enjoy it as you should have expected and had the right to. I’m trying to get the attention of a politician who has started a new political party in the UK, to see if she can platform the seriousness of Sars-Cov-2 and its consequences. If her party ends up being like all the others, why did she bother? Wishing you luck, recovery, and sending love. Take care and know that there are people in your corner. Liza

  5. I cannot begin to know what your illness is like Sylvia. I just know what pain and unknown illnesses can do to your body and soul.
Thank you for being a soldier for others fighting permanent illnesses for hopes though no break through to cure. Prayers go out to you and others in same positions more or less. One day you will reach your goal and then know you and your sharing was a plus for all. Take care as best you can. Thank you for the person you are and caring for others matters to all! Bless you🙏🏼❣️😇
